It's my first time eating at Barrio Fiesta in Anaheim and eating Barrio Fiesta's dishes in decades. My aunt and uncle came here for lunch on a cloudy Saturday afternoon for lunch. There's plenty of parking within the plaza at the corner of Euclid and Romneya. We arrived before the lunch rush, so thankfully we were immediately seated. The ambiance is very spacious, bright with tall windows and plenty of seating that matches Barrio Fiesta's theme of homestyle "lutong bahay" or homecooked Filipino dishes. We ordered Pancit Canton, Beef Bulalo soup, Kare Kare (without oxtail, because oxtail is $10.00 extra) and steamed rice. Our orders were ready within 10 minutes and all were still piping warm. The pancit was packed with ingredients ranging from shrimp, pieces of fishballs, pork and chopped vegetables. The bulalo soup had generous portions of cabbage, corn and beef chunks, while the Kare Kare had a perfect creamy texture with tender beef chunks, tripe, green beans, bok choy, sliced cabbage and eggplant. All the dishes had an umami that it matches their signature recipes from the Philippines. As expected, we were unable to finish all our orders so we took the rest to go. I would love to take my friends and other relatives here for the full experience of authentic Filipino cuisine. At Barrio Fiesta, it truly feels like a fiesta when you eat here!

TAKE: Crispy pata, Kare-Kare, Pinakbet, Pork Binagoongan, Pansit Bihon, Halo-Halo, Shrimp and Vegetable in coconut milk, Lumpia sariwa, Pansit Palabok HAVE: Barrio Fiesta serves up some authentic Filipino food with a great variety to choose from. While the food is generally good, I found that consistency in some dishes can be a bit hit or miss. I once had the binagoongan, which was way too watery. Their pancit bihon that I ordered a couple of times hasn't tasted consistent, either. But on a brighter note, their kare kare is a standout - it's among the best I've had. Their to-go orders are also reliable. I've ordered many times for takeout, and they always get my order right, which is a big plus. SERVICE: Their service is pretty good! The two guys who usually serve quickly respond whenever we need something. AMBIANCE: Simple decor with a mix of Filipino feel. Overall, solid service, simple ambiance, good food despite of some inconsistencies. Id say this place is still worth checking out.

Mom, do you work here? All I wanted to eat was the Kare-Kare, and ended up coming out with leftovers for Crispy Pusit, Tortang Talong, Kare-Kare, Garlic Rice, and Gulaman At Sago. Kare-Kare was as amazing as I expected it to be. The meat was soft enough to cut through with just my utensils and the sauce was perfect when eaten with the rice. I feel like I could just eat the sauce with rice and bagoong and I'm set. But the beef and oxtail just brings it to a whole new level. Crispy Pusit is the restaurant's answer to Calamari because well...it's literally fried squid. Haha. The vinegar was a nice compliment and the crunch was immaculate. A highly recommended appetizer. Tortang talong (eggplant omelette) is a solid breakfast plate (also sold outside of breakfast hours) and the banana ketchup they pair it with on the side is so good! Best believe it was the first thing I ate for breakfast the next day. Sago at Gulaman is an incredibly sweet refreshment comprised of brown sugar syrup, gelatin, and tapioca seeds with crushed ice. This is how people who are addicted to sugar relapse! A worthwhile one, at least. Coming back again with the rest of my family!

My friend and I craved for Crispy Pata and we decided to come here. Barrio Fiesta is a big name in the Philippines, I had high expectations. Other than the fact that this is, of course, smaller and with a simpler ambiance, the food and service did not disappoint! We loved our garlic rice (super generous serving! The $14 plate is about 6 cups!) , super delectable Crispy Pata, and very refreshing Halo-Halo. There were two of us and we were content with the bill of about $54 (including tax) . Will definitely come back.

I'm so glad there's a Barrio Fiesta in Anaheim and it brings tears of joy to eat authentic Filipino food. The lumpia Shanghai has the perfect amount of meat to crispyness ratio. The karre karre is silky smooth and tasted great. But the star of the show is the crispy pata. The meat is super soft, not hard but the skin was crispy AF! They brought out the food pretty fast so I loved their service. Coming in at 545pm on a Monday, it was half busy; by the time we left it was full by 7pm. I also love their filipjno art. nice ambiance and overall i had a famtastic experience. Be sure to take your atorvastatin :)

Filipino food as comfort food at its best. This is a Filipino classic restaurant that does not fail to make me feel at home. Service is a little slow but I can overlook that when I come for the food. Place is nice and clean nonetheless.

The bright sign drew me in! The Original Barrio Fiesta of Manila serves Filipino food. Manila is a city in the Philippines. Most food from this culture is meat/ animal based. They have lumpia (pork, veggies), dinugan (pork, blood, spices), pusit (squid, soy sauce), and pancit (noodles, veggies, pork or chicken). These are popular Filipino dishes that they serve here at The Original Barrio Fiesta of Manila. On the menu it has a section called "vegetables." Those are not vegetarian friendly. They are vegetable dishes with chicken, pick or shrimp. They do have an option to get plain rice or garlic rice and those look veggie friendly. This isn't the spot if you are a vegetarian lol
